About This Project
Sticky, creamy, fatty, smoothy or disgusting are the features of natural raw food. In Jiayin Lu’s photo series “Lick. Up”, the world is surrounding by these unprocessed seafood, vegetables and meats. Pork intestines on the chair outdoor, mushrooms lying on the mirror of the taxi, oyster sinking on the surface of the sewer, these unexpected urban landscapes reconstruct a consumption world that human get used to without awareness. Therefore, Jiayin Lu raises the question to the viewer about the impact of human consumption by putting these images back to our normal real life.
