About This Project
Jiayin Lu creates photo book under the issue of social media where many internet users present different identification under this mask. Her idea was inspired by a poem called “Lolita”, it is a poem about an old man pretending a young petty girl on facebook. Therefore, she invited her friend Jing to shoot intimate profile photos and tried to imitate how Lolita photographs. In this project, she explores how social media presenting human themselves by combining photography with “Lolita” this poem. This book questions the eyes of viewers and asked them if the edge between reality and fantasy still exist?
